This is not one of my usual posts but the world is struggling with stress and anxiety at the moment and it seems this may last for a while and nobody knows how long that while will be.

This is a simple technique that can be used quickly and in any situation for adults and children

First is the breath, if you recognise that your breathing is speeding up, take control of it, see your breaths as a cloud, a fluffy white cloud in your favourite place, a sunny day, a beach, a field, wherever is your favourite place, you can focus your breaths as this cloud and it becomes a happy, mindful place that you control

Next is foot tapping, focus on what you’re doing and count, with your foot tapping count the taps and by doing this you can control slowing them down.
These two simple tricks practised for a just few minutes can leave you feeling more confident, relaxed and being able to control your own mind.
